Education: Electrician, Electronics Engineer

What’s your name and your role?
My name is Anders Fiilsøe Falkeborg and I am working as Head of Platform Product Management.
What motivates you to work in Kamstrup?
To do better, to do smart and to do it right – and to be honest I like to be able to impress colleagues with something we did in my team! That motivates me a lot to have a strong and dedicated team.
Can you describe your career path so far?
Very organic I would say. I tried some different roles in both Business and Technology, so I moved up the career steps one by one with great support internally at Kamstrup
What has been the most challenging?
To find the courage to take the next step I believe. I really loved all the different jobs I have had through the years. It has been great and has always spawned a lot of thought every time I have had the opportunity to move on.
What has been the most rewarding?
To succeed in the next step and to have a team that trusts you, and to be able to deliver on that trust that is the biggest reward.
What is the best thing about your job?
The answer must lie very close to the above, and then coupled with the atmosphere and good spirit in Kamstrup.
Can you share a memorable moment or accomplishment in your career at Kamstrup?
I remember working on some very detailed descriptions and risk assessments 'under the radar' back in 2017. This effort was in response to a new legislative requirement. Years later, after my time in technology, we were able to solve a problem almost instantly, like the flick of a switch, thanks to these documents—unknown to many of my colleagues.
Describe private Anders – what do you do when you come home from work?
I am my wife’s husband and strive to be the best father I can be for my two sons. I’m very much a family man and love nothing more than seeing my whole family happy. Once a week, though, I live out the rockstar dream, playing bass with my band. (We rehearse regularly but rarely gig, as we all have real jobs and kids)
Can you share a fun fact?
I originally wanted to work on electronics in fighter planes. I’ve always been deeply fascinated by the incredible engineering achievements behind these machines. Now, however, I work in the metering business field quite different from that type of technology—and I love my job. Plans change, apparently!
What is your advice for people who are considering applying for a job at Kamstrup?
Go for it! You’ll encounter many great opportunities and have amazing experiences if you dare to seize them.
