Smart electricity metering
Our electricity meters and sensors are designed for much more than collecting data for consumption billing – they are the powerful engines behind doing things smarter. For that exact reason, they also offer all the functionality expected from a smart meter, including your choice of communication technology.
Optimised for use in smart metering systems, our electricity meters offer seamless integration to a number of data collection systems via the standardised DLMS/COSEM interface. Unrivalled accuracy ensures that you can count on reliable consumption billing and satisfied users. On top of that, remote firmware upgrades keep your electricity meters up-to-date and ready for use for their entire meter lifetime of up to 20 years.
Our electricity meters perform with an exceptionally low failure rate. This not only ensures reliability, it also protect your return on investment. All this is part of the quality we can guarantee from of our fully automated production.
Our smart electricity meters & sensors
OMNIPOWER® Single-phase – Residential electricity meters
OMNIPOWER® single-phase electricity meter for residential use is a high-precision smart meter, that offers long-term stability and reliability. It comes in several variants to fit every need and it can be configured to fit your set-up, whether you have specific demands for encryption standards, data collection protocols, communication technology or something entirely else.
Enabled to smart homes, OMNIPOWER® single-phase meter allows text messages in the meter display and when connected to a network infrastructure, it wirelessly transmits real-time consumption data, text messages, alerts and price information to an in-house display in the household.
As a high-end smart meter, OMNIPOWER® single-phase energy meter can be equipped with a wide range of communication modules and provides intelligent features like 4-quadrant metering, power quality registration and remote disconnect as default. With READy meter reading, 4 simple registers are supported.
Approvals: MID certified according to EN 50470-1 and EN 50470-3 ● IEC 62052-11 ● IEC 62053-21 ● IEC 62053-23
OMNIPOWER® Three-phase – Electricity meter for residential and industrial use
OMNIPOWER® three-phase electricity is ideal for meter for measuring power consumption below 100 A. It has no movable parts and thereby ensures pinpoint precision throughout its entire lifetime of up to 20 – and this regardless of the direction in which it is mounted.
Of standard features, OMNIPOWER® three-phase electricity meter offers voltage quality measurement, logging of events and load profile generation. In addition to this, it supports a wide range of communication modules like radio, NB-IoT, GSM, GPRS, 3G and M-Bus. READy meter reading supports Wireless M-Bus. The meter’s modular construction means that it comes in many shapes and variants. And you can add or change the communication type without disconnecting it and thereby also without interrupting the electricity supply. OMNIPOWER® three-phase electricity meter is prepared for smart home applications via the HAN interface.

OMNIPOWER® CT – Electricity meter for commercial and industrial use
OMNIPOWER® CT is a 3-phased electricity meter ideal for measuring power consumption above 100 A. Being fully electronic without movable parts, it maintains pinpoint precision throughout its entire lifetime of up to 20 years no matter in which direction it is mounted.
The meter determines energy by measuring voltage and current simultaneously. The current is measured via current transformers. With a multitude of loggers and tariff registers, OMNIPOWER® CT meter provides information on loads, time-of-use, and transformer ratio. Load profiles can be generated in various easily configurable time intervals to help you with the load planning- and management and not least optimise your use of resources.

Temperature and Humidity Sensor – Small scale indoor climate control
The Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a simple and cost-effective solution for gaining control of the indoor climate in residential buildings – new, renovated and old ones alike. By monitoring “comfort conditions” it becomes easier than ever to identify, if housing complexes have a healthy temperature or if corrective actions are needed.
With a lifetime of up to 16 years and a simple assembly and integration into an existing Wireless M-Bus fixed network, the Temperature and Humidity Sensor provides both short-term and long-term benefits. Not only is it easy to get started. It is also a reliable solution to help compensate for poor ventilation habits in individual apartments or the lack of an expensive ventilation system in the long run.
The data provided by the Temperature and Humidity Sensor will be available in the READy meter reading software alongside data from smart meter data. Hereby, all data is available in one place, ensuring a complete and transparent picture of the health of residential building.

“We did not know what we were consuming, so we used Kamstrup smart meters as an innovation pillar. Now we not only see all patterns of our consumption, but have optimized our whole energy management… It is not only about saving money, but about thinking energy, and being as resource efficient as possible.”
Baston Wonen housing association, the Netherlands
A housing association in the Netherlands wanted the freedom to manage the administration of their residents’ energy bills their own way. With the solution from Kamstrup they can not only do that, they have also optimized their operations and improved the service they offer their tenants.
