The Technology company Kamstrup has hired a new director with solid experience within the water industry and high technological products to develop the company’s water business globally.
Since the launch of the first intelligent water meter in 2011, Kamstrup has experienced a two-digit growth rate in their water business. To continue the success and expand the business, the company has hired Mads Sckerl, 51, who will head the development and sales of intelligent water solutions and services globally.
There is a great potential in the global water market and Kamstrup’s CEO Kim Lehmann plans to continue the growth:
‘’We need to increase our focus on our global activities, and Mads is an experienced leader, who has previously been responsible for internationalising companies. After several years abroad, he will bring a great deal of insight and experience, which we need to develop our business globally and continue the positive progress we experience with our water solutions at the moment,’’ says Kim Lehmann, CEO in Kamstrup.
One of Mads Sckerl’s primary tasks will be to develop and ensure distribution of Kamstrup’s solutions that can optimise the water supply and identify leakages which, in some parts of the world, are responsible for water waste of more than 50 %.
The new director is looking forward to the challenges and sees great potential in digitalising the water supply.
’’If we are constantly working to develop solutions and services where water utilities around the world get a greater and more detailed insight in their distribution network, we can make a huge difference to many societies and especially places where water is a scarce resource. This task is very important,’’ says Mads Sckerl.
Mads Sckerl takes over the job after Per Trøjbo, who has had overall responsibility for Kamstrup’s water solutions. After many successful years, Per has decided to return to having full focus on strengthening and building up strong relations to existing and potential customers. Going forward, Per will be Vice President with global sales responsibility for Kamstrup’s water solutions.
‘’We need to be close to our customers to know their needs and develop tools and solutions that will benefit them the most, both in Denmark and in the rest of the world. Therefore, it is important to be in close dialogue and continue a dedicated focus on the customers,’’ says Mads Sckerl.
At the same time, he looks forward to the new job: ‘’Kamstrup has created some really good results, and I look forward working together with the many talented employees who have built up a great deal of expertise and experience within the energy and water industry’’.
Mads Sckerl comes from a job as CEO in the technology company Senmatic A/S, which is specialised in sensor solutions. In addition, Mads has 10 years of experience from Grundfos, where he lived in Shanghai for 4 years. He is married to Susanne and together they have two children.
