Kamstrup is launching its first heating & cooling meter with built-in LoRaWAN communication module

Our most popular heating and cooling meters were able to transmit measured data using LoRa communication for a long time, relying on Elvaco’s CMi4140 LoRaWAN module. Now we announce that LoRa communication modules can be ordered as a built-in, factory mounted version in our MULTICAL® 403 thermal energy meters; while MULTICAL® 603 and 803 will follow in the first half of 2025.  

LoRaWAN, as an open protocol communication technology, guarantees interoperability with other 3rd party systems. This solution also ensures that the meter can be utilized for smart cities, industrial facilities and residential complexes. The meter provides precise and timestamped data suitable for billing as well as analytical purposes, enabling efficient heating or cooling energy management. 

This upgrade helps our customers to reduce hardware costs and optimize time spent on commissioning the meter. Your order will include the selected MULTICAL® meter with an integrated LoRaWAN communication module.
