Since Kamstrup entered the electricity market, the company has experienced significant growth. Among other things, Kamstrup has together with Radius been behind one of the Northern countries’ largest rollouts of intelligent electricity meter solutions.
To further develop Kamstrup’s electricity business, the company has hired Henrik Jensen, 43 years old, to help strengthen Kamstrup’s international electricity business.
”Through the years, we have built a solid business helping approximately 100 customers in 10 countries optimising and balancing the electricity grid through increased insight. We should continue doing this and I look forward to Henrik using his experience from the industry to ensure even greater value creation for our customers”, tells Kim Lehmann, CEO in Kamstrup.
Henrik Jensen comes with 13 years of international experience from Vestas and MHI Vestas. Going forward, his primary tasks will be to use his competencies within the energy sector and energy companies to strengthen the electricity division where he, among other things, will be part of promoting Kamstrup’s transformation from meter supplier to solution and service partner.
”Kamstrup has a very strong history within energy solutions around the world, and I have great respect for the business they have built. Large partner projects in collaboration with i.e. Radius and ESB have shown that they can deliver large scale intelligent meter solutions, and we need that experience to strengthen our current position and to expand internationally”, Henrik Jensen says.
Working at MHI Vestas, Henrik Jensen was sales responsible within offshore wind turbines and part of the power producing value chain. He is looking very much forward to working more closely with utilities and their end-users.
”It is all about our customers and how we create value for our customers with a profound knowledge of their business. I look forward to getting to know our customers better. We need to continue creating intelligent solutions for utilities that support the green transition and changes in consumer behaviour due to the electrification in society. Our customers’ need for data based investment decisions and optimising operations is a field where Kamstrup wants to play a much more significant part in the future”.
Henrik Jensen takes over the position as director of the electricity division from Henrik Mørck Mogensen, who has been director of the electricity business since 2016. Henrik Mørck Mogensen has accepted new challenges managing and developing the newly established Solution and Service Delivery organisation that will ensure a solid foundation for Kamstrup’s position as solutions and service supplier.
