What’s your name and what do you work with?
My name is Simon and I work as a sourcing manager within Indirect Sourcing. My role involves supporting various business areas to optimize spending and secure the right agreements with suppliers. As a Category Manager for 3rd Party Logistics, I work with the category team to execute strategic initiatives and align with Kamstrup's overall strategy in a cost-efficient way. Additionally, I'm responsible for sourcing products and services in the categories of 3rd Party products and Facility Management, identifying areas for optimization.

How would you describe your typical day?
I start my day by creating an overview of my ongoing projects, identifying deliverables, and reaching out to stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress. I focus a lot on deep dive analysis of the category, conduct spend analysis, and identify suppliers that align with Kamstrup's needs, while also handling negotiations.

What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is that I get to engage with a diverse range of people, including colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers.

What drives you in your job and personal life?
What drives me in both my professional and personal life is the desire to continually improve as an individual. I thrive on challenges, as I am naturally competitive, and Kamstrup provides an environment that satisfies this aspect of my personality. And then I can’t hide the fact that I enjoy saving money for the company.
