What’s your name and your role?
My name is Merry Beth, and I am Head of HR and Recruiting in North America. In my role, I leverage my HR expertise to align people strategies with our business goals. I am responsible for compliance with employment laws in all states and provinces where we have employees and administer payroll and retirement programs in two countries. I also ensure that Kamstrup has the employee benefits and compensation strategies necessary to drive recruitment and retention efforts.

What drives you?
Seeing the growth and development of our employees in their careers. Seeing the tangible results of our leadership development efforts is incredibly rewarding and fuels my drive.

What is the best thing about my job?
The opportunity to collaborate with both local and European business leaders and employees. Additionally, I find immense satisfaction in understanding what motivates individuals to perform at their best.

My biggest learning?
Listening with the intention to understand, rather than simply to respond, is the most effective way to learn the necessary course of action.
