What is ESG?

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. It refers to the three key factors that measure a company's sustainability and ethical performance. At Kamstrup, we are committed to integrate ESG performance and considerations into our business operations, products, and services. By doing so, our aim is to minimise environmental impacts, uphold social responsibilities, and maintain good governance practices.

What are SDGs?

SDGs stand for Sustainable Development Goals. It is a set of 17 global goals established by the United Nations to achieve a sustainable future by 2030. At Kamstrup, we align our sustainability efforts with the SDGs, focusing on areas where we impact and must deliver actions to secure sustainable development. As a result, we focus especially on the goals: 6 - Clean Water & Sanitation, 7 - Affordable and clean energy, 12 - Responsible consumption and production and 13 - Climate action.

What is the Paris Climate Agreement?

The Paris Climate Agreement is a global treaty adopted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 2015. The treaty aims to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius and increase efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Kamstrup supports the Paris Climate Agreement, and we are dedicated to reducing carbon emissions, increasing renewable energy usage, and implementing climate mitigation measures in our operations and products. Therefore, we have also made a commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

What is SBTi?

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaborative initiative by global organisations that helps companies set science-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. As part of SBTi, Kamstrup is actively engaged in setting science-based targets to ensure that our emissions reduction efforts are aligned with the latest climate science and best practices.
